• Technical Data: IP addresses (encrypted and used exclusively for fraud prevention and enforcing the 3-device limit).
• Encryption: All personal data is stored in an encrypted format.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate your access.
• To sync your private notes across your authorized devices.
• To manage your subscription status via PayPal.

3. Data Storage & Third Parties

• Database: Your data is stored using MongoDB.
• Hosting: The App is hosted via Emergent.
• Payments: Payment processing is handled by PayPal. We do not have access to your full financial details.
• No Sale of Data: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

PedOTG uses a hybrid storage model. We use local browser storage (cache) to ensure the App remains functional in clinical settings with poor connectivity. This data is periodically synced with our external database to ensure your notes are backed up.

5. Global Compliance (GDPR & Bahrain PDPL)

While based in Bahrain, we aim to comply with international standards, including the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

6. Patient Data Prohibited

Important: PedOTG is a reference tool. Users are strictly prohibited from entering identifiable patient information (e.g., full name, patient numbers, or photos of patients) into the notes section. We do not knowingly collect or store any Patient Health Information (PHI).
